Over 30 people have been killed in a suspected suicide bombing
which occurred in a crowded market, in Yola, north-eastern Nigeria.
No one has claimed
responsibility but officials say Boko Haram is to blame.
This market is known as a meeting place for casual labourers, the
sort of place that is considered a soft, easy target, such as Boko Haram
would favour.
The attack comes days after Nigeria’s president Muhammadu Buhari visited Yola and assured people Boko Haram was almost defeated.
