Strictly Media House, a dynamic, engaging resource that offers
readers commentaries on the hottest trends, has partnered with Tarkwa
Breman Community Alliance (TBCA), a 501(c)3 non-profit that uses a
self-sustaining model to heal and empower lives in Tarkwa Breman and
beyond. Together, they will host a fundraising event to help provide a
canteen for Tarkwa Breman Girls School this Saturday, 15th April, 2017.
Tarkwa
Breman, a small rural cocoa farming and small-scale gold mining
community is the hometown of TBCA’s founder, Shadrack Frimpong. After
winning the $100,000 President’s Engagement Prize from the University of
Pennsylvania and $15,000 for Samuel Huntington Public Service Award, he
established a girl’s school and a community hospital which will be
self-sustained with proceeds from cocoa plantations. Currently, Tarkwa
Breman Girls School has 60 girls enrolled in Kindergarten 1 and 2 with
eight teaching and non-teaching staff.
With
plans underway to get the kids into boarding school next academic year,
there is an earnest need to provide a comfortable space for meals to
help fulfil TBCA’s vision of nurturing excellent leaders with integrity.
Join us this Saturday at H Residence, close to Adom Guest House (Transformer Junction) Apatrapa, Kumasi to eat for a cause from 12 noon. If you cannot make it, you can donate directly on their website, www.tarkwabreman.com/donate or via TBCA’s bank account provided below:
