The first batch of thirty-five 4x4 vehicles manufactured in Africa will be on the Ghanaian market on Friday.
The cars made by the Kantanka Automobile Manufacturing Company, an indigenous industry, will be unveiled in Accra tomorrow.
The company is targeting an increment in vehicle production by January 2016.
The price per vehicle is expected to be announced at the ceremony, but unconfirmed reports indicate that it starts from Ghs76,000 (approximately US$20,000).
The Kantanka Automobile Manufacturing Company, was established by Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, the leader of Kristo Asafo Mission. He was a master technician before launching his Gospel ministry. The company has produced other machinery including an aircraft, which are mostly used on trial basis. Kantanka vehicles have been tested over the years, since its first automobile was made in 1998.
