Three Ghanaian pilgrims dead, 5 missing

Reports have confirmed that three Ghanaian pilgrims have died in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, during this year's Hajj.

According to the Chairman of the Hajj Board, Alhaji Rauf Tanko, the deaths are not related to the Hajj stampede which killed over 700.

Identities of the dead are yet to be disclosed. One was said to have died from convulsion, while the other two died of malaria. Their bodies are currently at a morgue in Mina.

Five Ghanaian pilgrims have also been reported missing. The Chairman blamed the pilgrims for flouting the laid down rules governing movement. He also added that some pilgrims embarked on the journey purposely to transact business in Mecca.
