Ghanaian rapper Kwaw Kese has launched the Kwaw Kese Foundation which will oversee a 20-year Development Project for Ghana's prison's
According to him, the foundation will also educate the public on the effects of drug abuse.
Kwaw Kese, who was convicted earlier this year for a narcotic related offense is hoping to give Ghana's prisions the infrastructure they need.
The rapper said he was motivated by his personal experiences from prison to contribute his little quota to those incarcerated. He further disclosed that inmates will be provided with some form of training and skill before they leave the facility to enable them fit into society again.
The management of the foundation have also started a painting project of all prison cells across the country.
Stephen Coffie, Director of Prisons, applauded Kwaw Kese and his management for the effort at working to provide better conditions for prisons in Ghana.
