KNUST probes into ISIS camp on campus

Authorities at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has launched and investigation into the existence of any group after news broke that Nazir Nortei Alema has joined the militant sect.

The jurisdiction expressed shock and worry over reports that a last year graduate of the school has joined the Islamic State (ISIS) militant group.



The 25-year-old graduate is reported to have joined the Islamic extremist group in Iraq and Syria after a series of meetings at Palm Wine Junction camp, Accra.

Nazir Nortei Alema is one of the 10 suspected Ghanaian Muslim youth who have decided to join the Islamic State, an extremist militant group known for it's acts of terrorism.
