BLACK RASTA Faces Parliament over MPs marijuana allegations

Ghanaian Reggae artiste and Radio Host, Black Rasta has been dragged to the Privileges Committee of Parliament for alleging that about 80 percent of Ghana's legislators and even the president might have used marijuana before or are using it.

Black Rasta reportedly made the comments on his radio show. He also asked for the constitution to be translated into a local language because according to him, members of parliament speak bad English.

The speaker of Parliament, Edward Doe Adjaho has stated that appropriate sanctions will be taken against the Radio Host.

Whilst marijuana still remains illegal, advocates such as Black Rasta and Kwaw Kese are campaigning for its legalization. Black Rasta has viewed the MPs lack of support to legalize the substance as hypocritical.
