Cote d’Ivoire is projected to be Africa’s fastest
growing economy in 2016, taking over from Ethiopia that grew at 10.2
percent last year.
The International Monetary Fund in its World Economic Outlook report
for April 2016, projects Cote d’Ivoire to grow at 8.5 percent, a slight
drop from last year’s 8.6 percent.
Other fast growing economies this year are Tanzania at 6.9 percent,
Senegal at 6.6 percent, Djibouti at 6.5 percent and Rwanda at 6.3
percent.
